This page explains in plain language which data BeeDay AI 🐝 processes – account, contacts, photos, texts and AI images.
The controller responsible for processing personal data in BeeDay AI is:

This policy describes truthfully what the app does in its current state. It is not legal advice.
An account is required to use BeeDay AI. We process your email address and an internal user ID for sign-in, account management, security and to link your stored content to you.
You may optionally store an additional email address for birthday reminders. It is used only to send those reminders.
Database access rules ensure that only your own account can read or change your data.
The app reads your address book only if you explicitly grant permission. Your full contact list is never transmitted.
Only the contacts you select, or matching contacts with a birthday, are imported. This may include name, date of birth and optionally a phone number and a contact photo. No other address book fields are stored.
Calendar import uses a strict positive filter: an event is imported as a birthday only with real evidence (birthday calendar, contact link or an unambiguous birthday keyword). Holidays and other events are not imported.
You are responsible for being allowed to use these contact details.
You may voluntarily record relationship, interests, hobbies, shared memories and personal notes about a birthday person.
These details are used solely to create personalised birthday greetings and cards. They are not analysed for any other purpose and not shared.
Contact photos are processed only after your consent and your selection. A double confirmation applies: consent in the settings plus the visible checkbox for the specific image generation. If either confirmation is missing, a motif without any person is generated.
Photos, text input and other content may be used to create AI-generated birthday cards and greetings.
Generated card images and uploaded contact photos are stored in a private storage area that only your own account can access.
For greeting texts we may process first name, age, relationship, interests, shared memories, style, language or dialect and zodiac sign. The year of birth is not sent to the text AI.
For images we process the motif description, interests, the estimated age and – only if released by you – the selected photo. Name and greeting text are never sent to the image AI; BeeDay AI adds them to the finished motif afterwards.
The full address book is never transmitted to the AI or to any third party.
Account data, birthdays and voluntarily stored details remain stored until you delete them or your account.
Generated greeting texts are stored only if you keep message storage enabled.
Generated images are deleted automatically after 30 days by default. You can change the retention period in the settings (0 days means keep indefinitely).
Lovable Cloud is used for sign-in, database, private file storage, AI features and email delivery. Processing takes place on behalf of the controller and only for the purposes described.
AI requests are routed through Lovable to the following model providers acting as sub-processors: Google (text model Gemini 2.5 Flash and image model Gemini 3.1 Flash Image) and OpenAI (image model GPT Image 2). This reflects the technical configuration actually used by the app.
AI requests may be processed outside Switzerland.
The BeeDay AI database and private file storage operate in the Europe region (Ireland, eu-west-1). This was determined from the actual backend configuration.
The AI model providers (Google, OpenAI) and the email delivery service may process data outside Switzerland and the EEA, in particular in the USA. The specific processing locations and applicable safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) of these sub-processors: TO BE CONFIRMED BEFORE PUBLICATION.
BeeDay AI shows no advertising and performs no user tracking. No analytics, advertising or crash SDKs are embedded.
BeeDay AI stores no advertising ID and no device identifier. Local sharing statistics stay on the device and are never transmitted.
Access to contacts, calendar, photos and notifications is voluntary and must be granted by you. Without permission the remaining parts of the app keep working.
You can withdraw any granted permission at any time in the iOS or Android settings. Consent to use contact photos for AI can additionally be revoked in the app settings.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future.
You can remove your account and all stored content directly in the app via account deletion. All data of your account is deleted first, then all files in your private storage area, before the account itself is removed.

The competent Swiss data protection authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern.
Where the GDPR applies, data subjects may additionally contact their competent European data protection authority.
By using import, calendar connection and AI features you confirm that you are allowed to use the data involved and that you agree to the processing described here.
